AAC really stands for Advanced Audio Coding. An audio-encoding standard for MPEG-2 that is not backwa rd-compatible with MPEG-1 audio. They call it mp4 so people will think it is like mp3 but "one better"

According to Wikipedia, MP4 is:
quote:

MPEG-4 Part 14 or mp4, is a file format specified as part of the ISO/IEC MPEG-4 international standard. It is used to store media types defined by the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group, and can be used to store other media types as well. It is, or will be, typically used to store data in files, though it will be used in data streams and possibly in other ways

Posted by niquid on May-24-2005 10:46:

wooow.... there are some nice setups here!!!

i noticed that a lot of people use the Shure Whitelabel cartridge. i want to have it too and i'm interested, are there any bad things about this cartridge, how's the sound and the groove tracking?

how is it compared to ortofon (scratch or elektro or night club)?

thanks in advance.

Thank fully that wont be for a while. And of course there will always be some way around it.

Nice set up orbital.

I like your Klipsch speakers, those old PRO-MEDIAS were awesome.

I am kinda sad to see you are using Josh Gabriel - Alive as a coaster/pad for your headphones

Nice Set up man

Thanks man hahaha you are right. i'll never disgrace that vinyl again

on another note i'm pretty happy. I just turned my DJM-300 channel mixer into a 3 channel mixer for my CDJ-1000! got 2 RCA y-jack splitters connected each color to both inputs on each side so now with a flip of a switch i can run 3 things!

Got that same MOS poster up in my room.

Is it me, or is that table way too low .
Do you sit on your knees when mixing?
Again, might be my eyes...in that case the sleeves are huuuge!

That looks awfully low to the ground... so much so that you have to dj on your knees.

(insert pun involving female djs using this setup here)

Posted by Orbital32 on May-25-2005 12:45:

i was thinking the same thing! You can always do it armand style:

Posted by Scooter is God on May-25-2005 16:03:

LOL, it is actually low. I am DJing sitting on a low chair.
Orbital32, that was a good one. Still got me laughing.

That is a tablef or your TV, maybe he just placed them there for the photos

DUST!!!! At least clean the record before you play it, that much dust is not going to be very nice to your stylus nor the record.

Unhappy my obsessive compulsive evil or at least pics

The result:
I'm a lonely, single, miserable, geek, hermit, who would rather cue a record than dress nice and actually find a GF.
