I know, some pics have been up for years. Cool to see though, especially how things have changed over the years.

I still am. I owned Live 7/8 years ago, but didn't use it much, so I sold it. I bought my wife a MBA and Thunderbolt Display for Christmas and, while I was setting it up for her, decided that I needed one, too, so I could make music while sitting on my ass in front of the tv (that's "tele" to you British folks). Live just seemed like the most logical solution since it's cross-platform (my main desktop DAW is, and always will be, a PC) and because it just seems to be perfectly optimized for a small screen size. Also, the deal they've got going now is too good to pass up - I think I paid $335 and that includes a free upgrade to Live 9. This little setup is a perfect micro studio, and my iPad gives me other controllers, or an additional screen if I want it.

quality time

upgrade ...will take a while to run them in but the initial impressions are very good, much deeper extension than the Twins

Veddy nice. Two of the best german synths ever made. Do you get much use out of the Super JD?

Yes, thats what i'm talkin about, you have the best setup here. May i suggest Prime Acoustic Isolation pads. They are a big difference compared to the aurelex pads. Its a good cheap upgrade.

I think that's his mouse

lol, it could be.

It wouldn't work for me for daily computer tasks as my primary (right hand) mouse lol - I use 3D spaceball for product design on my left hand with a lot of preprogram function on it and I love it (over 12 years)

Cheers

his mouse is behind. lame. kinda takes subtracks from the coolness of anything else.

No the JD-990 doesnt get switched on at all now as i have a JD-800 sitting there just out of shot (and my Nord Rack 2X as well)

And yeah thats my mouse, not a gaming joystick , i started experiencing a lot of pain in my wrist a while back so had to do something about it, took a while to get used to but its really good.

@looney......yeah i really should have hid it for the sake of the shot

Yes, I do. I find it impressive that he has the exact same gear that I have (well, had - that's an older photo that he must have found on the web).

It's funny looking at that pic, which was taken 4 or 5 years ago IIRC, that aside from the basses/guitar, everything in the background has been replaced except the desk, the HS80Ms, the Behringer headphone amp, and the MOTU 828mkII (which may get replaced this year).

BTW, in case anybody cares, the Ibanez acoustic (second from the left) is about to be replaced by either a Taylor or a Martin. I'll post a new pic after I decide and buy it.

How much your hobby cost you so far man???

Few days ago I was in the Guitar Center checking Gibson Les Paul and after almost 20 years not playing any guitar I had a chance to do so for a few min till my finger start to burning as hell, it will take months to get my callus/es back again on my fingers lol

No idea. I guess I've at least broken even on the hardware, since I usually buy low and sell high. Software/computers....not so much.

Also, a lot of my investment and even some of the gear that I still own dates back to my pro days, and it earned me good living, so I'm still well into the black, profit:infestment-wise. I probably have more money invested in my other hobbies (photography, flyfishing, and skiing) and they've never earned me a dime.

i have an american tele
SG 67 , not the reissue.
stephane audet custom acoustic which will fuck your martin in the ass
and a music man stringray.

and my vdrums are worth like 5000. Not sure why nobody said anything nice about them. My setup never gets enough props.

Probably because you've posted so many pictures of it, it's invisible to people now.
