sorta? half ikea ("capita" legs, shouldve opted for the 4'' ones but a cushion will get my ears to tweeter level ), and then i just picked up two shelves from home depot: one cut into two lengths for the speakers, one full one holding up my monitor ;p

what i started doing is getting a lower table. My setup is on the last page. So you can have your monitors lower. So you look at an angle. You can also fit more than one pair of monitors. The tweeter of the yamahas are at my ears and the genelecs are pretty close. I spend at least 8 hours a day there so proper back alignement and all that shit is important.

Originally posted by alanzo Not as much as it seems because the desk is actually really low. You have the bottom of your legs up to the desktop, for the most part. I no longer am using this desk's shelf as I have no gear to rack. I've "sworn off" racked synths. They're just not as fun, and as a sound designer, synths need to be fun. I no longer have the Waldorf XT, Yamaha, and Motu gear, as pictured. I sometimes miss the XT, but I wouldn't want it in any other form than an XTk. I also want to get a MOTU 2408 again, soon. The EMU card I have now is awful and I haven't owned anything as stable as the MOTU. |
can someone compliment my slick setup. those ipad stands actually power the ipad so no ugly white cables. I need to organize a few cables but doesn't it just scream smoooth. And the way i have 2 monitor pairs and still manage to fit 2 big screams.
Everyone has some great setups here. I like yours looney, its futureproof, not that something like that matters hehe.
