something we should do

don't really want to organize it but basically ,

common categories and your favourite treatment to use on it. Sort of like that batter box thing they do on Pensado's place

So i guess, maybe here, list the categories. Then i will make another thread with sort of the rules of how to answer and in what format so that the list has a certain format.

So ya. any common sort of thing one might do in EDM that involves a plugin , lets just keep it to a plugins , and what your choice.

This will probably make me look like a noob!

Fx or sounds that modulate

Fav distortion saturation
Fav stereo widener
Fav

Fav resampling tool
Fav wave shaper


Specific enough to give people some ideas as to what they might want to try.

Oh, I think there was a thread that did exactly this. Fav fx for each thing that you do etc.

What if it were more ambitious. What if we made it a flowchart starting at the very start of making a track and then worked all the way down to the mastering phase. It would need to be easily edited so that information could be added by many users.

If we made a google document, lots of people could edit it in real time easier than on here. Also, it would ensure that tons of these threads trying to organize everything weren't started. If it were a google document, surely only one would ever be made.

I have a general question about transitions within tracks. That could be addressed in the arrangement section.

Just an idea. I am not sure who has used google documents b4.

what i will do is get one of those survey things that way it will be organized and what not. And people can't add nonsense. Like something i would add to be funny and shit.

It would be simpler if you just made it:

I'm not sure I see the value in having one mega-thread for everybody's favourite whatever, as opposed to separate threads centered around a specific treatment (some of which we already have).

Doesn't combining them like this just make it more difficult to identify duplicates and also make the information a whole lot more difficult for people to find for those who are actually looking?

a comprehensive list so that say someone is wondering, what do most people use on a drum bus, they can look and see for themselves. Oh 20 people are using that, maybe i will look into that. Very simple , and very effective to the point it is supposed to be effective.

And people won't blither because you can't. You name a plugin, thats it. NO bullshit, just a production issue, what you would use for that issue. Simple/
